“Over the last decade Alicia Ross’s work has evolved to explore various facets of female identity using photography, fiber, video, and installation. Raised in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, Ross now splits her time between Ohio and the Texas coast after receiving her MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology (2007).
Both Ross’s NYC debut exhibition Sacred_Profane as well as her sophomore show Hot Mess, received positive attention from the press including being named “Critics’ Picks” by New York Magazine (2008, 2010). Ross’s work has been published in Flash Art Magazine (International Edition), the Guardian UK, the Village Voice, New York Magazine and the Huffington Post, among others. Her work continues to appear at art fairs such as Art Miami and Pulse NYC/Miami”. [From the artist’s website / Du website de l’artiste]
